About

As a Community Interest Company the profits that we make will be used to support further community based work.  We intend to provide a comprehensive oral history service for both large and small scale projects, providing  help when and where it is needed. Alongside our own work, we can be deployed as a ‘bolt-on’ to existing projects ensuring that all aspects of your venture are delivered professionally, ethically and efficiently.

Our Mission Statement:
To encourage mutual respect and co-operation by empowering people from all walks of life to conceive of and produce their own histories; to share, enjoy and learn from our work while building a lasting legacy that will be accessible to everyone.

Our Social Aim:
The democratisation of knowledge and heritage through the collection and preservation of oral history.

Our Values:
Accessibility – the methods and creative processes undertaken will be inclusive, non judgemental and participatory – based on our core value: listening. Increasing the audience able to access oral histories through the development and use of emerging technologies

Heritage – working ethically and respectfully, helping to produce individual, group, organisation and community legacies.

Education – providing high quality training enabling people to find their voice through communicating their own oral histories. This shared learning process will help develop transferable skills and encourage the crossing of parochial boundaries.

Mutual understanding – sharing stories, traditions and experiences through a creative and supportive environment in order to instil self worth and promote self confidence for all involved.
